Court bailiffs open procedure of claiming 5 mln rbl from Telegram
MOSCOW, Nov 8 (PRIME) -- Russian court bailiffs have started claiming 5 million rubles in fines from Telegram for the messenger’s refusal to delete illegal content, according to the website of the Federal Bailiffs Service seen by PRIME on November 7.
Two enforcement proceedings were initiated against Telegram as of November 3, each amounting to 2.5 million rubles.
The communications regulator said earlier that Telegram has been fined 35 million rubles in total since the beginning of 2021 for non-deletion of information the country bans.
